Title:
modemmanager (network-manager-applet) creates high cpu temperature
while mobilephone (LG Arena) is used as modem.

Status in modemmanager package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:

  Description: Ubuntu 10.10
  Release: 10.10

In Ubuntu 10.04 the modemmanager (network-manager-applet in Gnome)
  didn't created a high cpu-temperature. With Ubuntu 10.10 i can see how
the cpu temperature is rising. In 5 min, when connected, it is rising
from 55°C to 74°C and if not connected it is falling in the same time
from 74°C back to 55°C. I tried to look with "top" if a process could
cause this, but the cpu use is the whole time only at max. 5%.
