Status in Canonical System Image:
  Confirmed
Status in webbrowser-app package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
[webbrowser app] 360˚ youtube video don't work

  test video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nuvc6zQHIqE

It plays but it lacks the dynamic 360 feature, it is shown as a normal
video with a distorted view. The metadata contains Spherical. This
  does playback on Chromium.
