avraham, to clarify:
1) If you disable the Intel card (via the BIOS, or nvidia GUI) is this
reproducible?
2) If you uninstall the nvidia proprietary drivers is this reproducible?

Title:
  Xorg freeze

Status in xorg package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
Sometimes after resuming from suspend the screen becomes black with a single
text line:
  [ 8483.420032] [drm:intel_cpu_fifo_underrun_irq_handler [i915_bpo]] *ERROR*
CPU pipe B FIFO underrun

The computer does not respond any further and the fan starts working
full strength. I have to press the power button to turn off the
  computer and boot again.

This does not happen after each suspend, but happens occasionally and
I could not find any particular pattern that would cause it.
