Title:
  wifi connection manager gone, vpn connections gone after suspend
  ,until reboot

Status in network-manager package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  After coming out of suspend mode, network-manager starts having
  problems with the wifi.  the area wifi networks disappear after coming
  out of suspend.  Also after coming out of suspend 2 or 3 times the vpn
  connections disappear and only return after a reboot.
