Title:
Regression: Low screen brightness after standby

Status in xorg package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
After updating to Ubuntu 16.04 from 14.04, on my Lenovo T420s, the
screen is very dim after resuming from standby. Changing the
brightness by settings or fn keys restores the correct state.

This is very annoying because it is a repeating regression that
happens again and again over the last years. Almost every distribution
upgrade breaks the brightness after standby and took some month or
even years to have it working correct again.
