Hello Iain, or anyone else affected, Accepted gst-libav1.0 into xenial-proposed. The package will build now and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gst- libav1.0/1.8.3-1ubuntu0.1 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.
