Title:
  'cd' command missing features

Status in bash package in Ubuntu:
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
I was surprised to discover that 'cd..' command which i have used in
  the past, now is unknown.

cd. & cd.. features are so simple to use, to step back one level or
two, i can't imagine they have been dropped by decisions. Please set
  them back.
