Public bug reported:

I am just curious as to why unity8 is so broken after the beta update of
the image of yakkety amd64 ubuntu-desktop. It is very deprecated with
missing icons, no libertine icon , no apps store and now even more
freezes on nVidia boxes. We should not have to be using the ppa this
late in the cycle. It is very frustrating testing at one moment a
working unity8 desktop only to have all the scopes constantly ripped out
of apps.

** Affects: unity8 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
