I wasn't even aware that autotest was adding this init script. I can
look into fixing it up.

As a work around can we just delete the script and try to do your system
update?

As I mentioned in email these tests really need to be run on a freshly
installed system as some of the tests can be destructive and may leave
the system in a bad state. I would not trust simply updating the system
to put it into a right state. I do understand that this is a Virtual
system running on bare-metal that you don't have direct access to.
However, I think you need to work out with the HW owner how to go about
re-provisioning this VM prior to your testing.
