Public bug reported: I have Ubuntu Studio 14.04. I used software updater to update. I then got a box asking me to replace /etc/sudoers. There was an expandable called "changes", which I clicked on. This revealed an _empty_ text area.
Just in case, I backed up my sudoers file. Then I went ahead and allowed the replace of this file. Now it turns out there were changes. My custom setting was removed: Defaults timestamp_timeout=0 Also, the path line was updated with an added /snap/bin. It shouldn't show no changes when there are changes. I'm not sure if this is a problem with the sudo package or the updater. ** Affects: sudo (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to sudo in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1637773 Title: update replaced custom setting in sudoers, despite showing "no changes" Status in sudo package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: I have Ubuntu Studio 14.04.
