Videos don't play on dailymotion.com on desktop
Status in webbrowser-app package in Ubuntu:
Testing webbrowser-app with oxide 1.20.4 on desktop, dailymotion.com
videos don't play (only display a black rectangle in place of the
actual video). They do work on mobile devices.
I’m seeing the following in the app's log:
Vector smash protection is enabled.
So it appears that dailymotion is serving a flash video player instead
of an HTML5 video.
A simple UA override appears to do the trick.
