Unfortunately I'm still able to reproduce the crash with the new packages. One extra thing to be aware of when testing this with camera-app is that until https://code.launchpad.net/~michael-sheldon/qtubuntu- camera/fix-1368436/+merge/235673 lands there is a separate, unrelated crash in qtubuntu-camera.
