Title:
[mako] Device sometimes does not wake after being asleep on first
  press of the power button

Status in qtubuntu package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  $ system-image-cli -i
  current build number: 157
  device name: mako
  channel: ubuntu-touch/ubuntu-rtm/devel-proposed
  alias: ubuntu-touch/ubuntu-rtm/14.09-proposed
  last update: 2015-01-09 08:20:01
  version version: 157
  version ubuntu: 20150109
  version device: 20141119
  version custom: mako-1.1

Sometimes when I go to unlock and 'wake' my device upon the first
press of the power button nothing happens, upon the second press a few
seconds later the screen turns on and then instantly off. It then
requires a third press of the power button to wake the phone.

This usually happens after medium/long periods of the device being
locked, and I've only experienced the issue when the device is not
  powered by USB.

Also note that while experimenting I pressed the button once, the
screen didn't turn on, but then when I plugged the device into USB
power the screen turn on (this could have just been a coincidence with
  timing).

I wasn't sure which project to report this bug, so please assign
elsewhere if this is the incorrect place, also I couldn't see anything
obvious in any logs so any suggestions for debugging would be much
  appreciated.
