Title: [MULTITASKING] Phone app should be quickly reachable Status in Ubuntu UX: Invalid Status in unity8 package in Ubuntu: Expired Bug description: I was doing some dogfooding over the weekend and noticed something that I believe is a design problem. I wanted to make a phone call real quick. The path to get to it went something like this for me, because I had previously been using the camera app before turning off the device: 1. Press power button 2. swipe right to left (close the welcome screen) 3. swipe left to right (past menu) to get back to unity 4. I'm now on the apps screen, so I can either scroll around here and find the phone app, or move over to the Home screen Arguably, there is a slightly shorter path I could have taken by just pulling up the launcher from the welcome screen, and browsing through the list of apps there to find the phone, but it doesn't come too easily here all the time, since there could be quite a few apps in the launcher Also, I think most users who are familiar with other smartphone operating systems are used to a model where from the time you unlock the phone, there's a simple way to get right away to either the phone directly, or back to a home screen (where the phone can be launched) if you happen to have shutdown the phone with an app running, with a single touch.
