Title:
[unity8] polling of /system/build.prop on idle system

Status in unity8 package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
On an Idle Nexus 4 I ran fatrace and observed:

  unity8(450): O /system/build.prop
  unity8(450): R /system/build.prop
  unity8(450): C /system/build.prop
  unity8(450): O /system/build.prop
  unity8(450): R /system/build.prop
  unity8(450): C /system/build.prop
  ...
  etc

This file is mounted on a read-only system, so it won't change during
the process lifetime of unity8, so I wonder why it occasionally polls
this file? Can it cache this data rather than polling it? If we can
reduce the polling it will reduce the power consumption in a deep idle
  state of the phone.
