I'm unable to restart unity8. When I attempt to start it again I get the
following errors in the log (after attempting to physically use the
shell/waken the screen) repeated over and over.

ubuntumirserver

Also, once it gets into this log loop I'm unable to stop the shell too,
example:
phablet@ubuntu-phablet:~$ stop unity8
stop: Unable to connect to Upstart: Failed to connect to socket
/com/ubuntu/upstart-session/32011/1256: Connection refused
To reproduce:
- Have freshly booted device (interacting with the shell works at this point)
- In a shell (adb or ssh) exec:
`$ stop unity8`
- In a shell exec:
`$ start unity8`
- Attempt to wake up the screen or interact with the greeter if the screen
actually comes up for you)
- Observe in the log file the mentioned errors (~/.cache/upstart/unity8.log)n
