If it was fixed in upstream ubuntu-terminal-app then the fix still isn't
in zesty. Zesty's terminal app is still:

Bug description:
  When I open the terminal app, I get asked for my password. If I just
  start typing, the password gets written in the terminal bash and not
  in the correct popup prompt.
