  Access to local ethernet is possible (e.g. ping 192.168.2.2), access to 
internet is not possible:
  ping: ports.ubuntu.com: Name or service not known
  ping: www.google.com: Name or service not known

  It does not matter if my PowerBook G4 is connected via WLAN or
  ethernet, the effect is the same.
