Title:
[Aspire 5750, Realtek ALC269VB, Speaker, Internal] Pulseaudio fails to
  detect card

Status in pulseaudio package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  ian@tqft-l:~$ lsb_release -rd
  Description: Ubuntu 11.10
  Release: 11.10

  Expected sound to work.

What happens - sound fails randomly.

Playing flash video typically, but other sound as well.

Sound stops - for no apparent reason but sometimes when I manually
  adjust the volume.

Look in Sound preferences - no hardware.

Reboot machine, hardware is there under sound preferences and sound
plays for a bit. Then it fails and hardware is showing under Sound
  Preferences.

Checked AlsaMixer hardware is there. Pulse audio crashing - tried
restarting it (sudo service pulseaudio restart) but no change.
