Things to check.

1. make sure that the system-tray applet is still in the panel (open
raven - budgie settings - panel)

2. look at /etc/xdg/autostart/budgie-desktop-nm-applet.desktop.  The
exec= line should read nm-applet --no-indicator

3. look at /etc/xdg/autostart - if you see the file budgie-desktop-nm-
applet2.desktop then delete that
