Title:
  video decoders don't work correctly

Status in gstreamer1.0 package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
Playing videos sometimes just displays black images (audio coming in
clearly) or with one colour channel missing (magenta tint mostly).

Tried with several videos, there seems to be no pattern (avi as well
  as mpeg, different encoders).

A significant amount of first calls (after waiting a period of
minutes) brings up black (no video).

  Ubuntu 17.10
plain installation (with additional media support though)
