The URL is successfully opened, but the client process then crashes while exiting. The result is that the operation appears to work, but there has been a crash in the background (which is then displayed by update-notifier and apport). Steps to reproduce: 1. check "Enable assisitive technologies" in Preferences -> Assistive Technologies 2. restart X session 3. start firefox 4. start from terminal: firefox http://www.ubuntu.com Result: see crash.
