Bug description:
We have a recipe to more easily reproduce bug 1317801 in the form of a
disabled unit test in tests/unit-
tests/compositor/test_buffer_queue.cpp. The test is disabled because
it requires changes to production code to make it possible for the
test to catch the bug it tests for.
We need to find a way to enable the test while affecting the
production code as little as possible performance-wise and keep a sane
design.
