Looks like someone merged iptables, because the fix is part of iptables 1.6.0-3ubuntu2 which is available in Ubuntu 17.04. See for instance http://manpages.ubuntu.com/manpages/zesty/en/man8/xtables-multi.8.html which no longer references "resotre".
