Confirmed, but it looks like it doesn't happen very often (only on
startup?). And it also looks like the missing "ofono" packages are in
universe, so not something was can install by default with pulseaudio.
The ofono support is core to pulseaudio and not something we have
accidentally configured in just for Ubuntu. It's also probably not
something we should explicitly configure out.
I think the error message is a valid warning, but something most people
should ignore. Only people who actually intend for ofono support should
pay attention to it.

Title:
[pulseaudio] backend-ofono.c: Failed to register as a handsfree audio
agent with ofono: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name
org.ofono was not provided by any .service files
Status in pulseaudio package in Ubuntu:
Won't Fix
Bug description:
This is logged since a while on that desktop (default ubuntu install)
[pulseaudio] backend-ofono.c: Failed to register as a handsfree audio
agent with ofono: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name
org.ofono was not provided by any .service files
Googling about it:
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/37132033/ofono-dbus-introspection-method-not-found
https://github.com/pulseaudio/pulseaudio/blob/master/src/modules/bluetooth/backend-ofono.c
Also note Debian has more recent version:
http://metadata.ftp-master.debian.org/changelogs/main/p/pulseaudio/pulseaudio_11.1-4_changelog
note: that install has no 'ofono' package installed; and sound works
as expected.
