Title:
  Too many dependencies for GtkInspector

Status in gtk+3.0 package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  I want to use GtkInspector in my GTK development through GObject
  Introspection in Python.

  So I need to enable the GtkInspector:
  $ gsettings set org.gtk.Settings.Debug enable-inspector-keybinding true
  No such schema 'org.gtk.Settings.Debug'

  Apparently I need the 'libgtk-3-dev' package.

  $ sudo apt-get install libgtk-3-dev
  Reading package lists... Done
  Building dependency tree
  Reading state information... Done
  The following additional packages will be installed:
    gir1.2-gtk-3.0 icu-devtools libatk-bridge2.0-dev libatk1.0-dev
    libatspi2.0-dev libcairo2-dev libcontent-hub-glib-dev libcontent-hub-glib0
    libdrm-dev libegl1-mesa-dev libepoxy-dev libfontconfig1-dev libfreetype6-dev
    libgail-3-0 libgdk-pixbuf2.0-dev libglib2.0-dev libglib2.0-dev-bin
    libgraphite2-dev libgtk-3-0 libgtk-3-common libharfbuzz-dev
    libharfbuzz-gobject0 libice-dev libicu-dev libmirclient-dev libmircommon-dev
    libmircookie-dev libmircore-dev libpango1.0-dev libpcre3-dev libpcrecpp0v5
    libpixman-1-dev libpng-dev libpng-tools libprotobuf-dev
    libpthread-stubs0-dev libsm-dev libwayland-bin libwayland-dev libx11-dev
    libx11-doc libx11-xcb-dev libxau-dev libxcb-dri2-0-dev libxcb-dri3-dev
    libxcb-glx0-dev libxcb-present-dev libxcb-randr0-dev libxcb-render0-dev
    libxcb-shape0-dev libxcb-shm0-dev libxcb-sync-dev libxcb-xfixes0-dev
    libxcb1-dev libxcomposite-dev libxcursor-dev libxdamage-dev libxdmcp-dev
    libxext-dev libxfixes-dev libxft-dev libxi-dev libxinerama-dev
    libxkbcommon-dev libxrandr-dev libxrender-dev libxshmfence-dev libxtst-dev
    libxxf86vm-dev wayland-protocols x11proto-composite-dev x11proto-core-dev
    x11proto-damage-dev x11proto-dri2-dev x11proto-fixes-dev x11proto-gl-dev
    x11proto-input-dev x11proto-kb-dev x11proto-randr-dev x11proto-record-dev
    x11proto-render-dev x11proto-xext-dev x11proto-xf86vidmode-dev
    x11proto-xinerama-dev xorg-sgml-doctools xtrans-dev zlib1g-dev

  It wants to pull in 84 new packages. This seems like excessive coupling.
  I have no interest in compiling anything from source, all I want is to use
the GtkInspector.
