I'm not sure what you're trying to say here. The version numbers in the library filenames (3 and 26 in your examples) track the library's public interface, not the software version. libkrb5.so.3 is the MIT Kerberos implementation: https://packages.ubuntu.com/xenial-updates/libkrb5-3 libkrb5.so.26 is the Heimdal Kerberos implementation: https://packages.ubuntu.com/xenial-updates/libkrb5-26-heimdal Could you please be specific about what problem you are having and why you think it is caused by the Kerberos libraries?
