Title:
  groups command reports only primary group of user

Status in coreutils package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  After a recent update in 18.04, in XFCE/Xubuntu, when I start an XFCE
  terminal, and run the 'groups' command, I only see my primary group
  show up. If I log into the system via ssh, I see all the groups
  associated with the user. See here for more detail:
