Title:
CUPS conf IPv6 error - takes ::1 and [(xxxx:)^8], but crews up at
[::1]
Status in cups package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Binary package hint: cups
cupsd.conf configuration file is inconsistent about IPv6 addressed in
ACL rules (Allow / Deny)
It takes "::1" and "[xxxx:xxxx:xxxx:xxxx:xxxx:xxxx:xxxx:xxxx]" patterns,
but daemon exits with its universal message (that it can't read config file)
when it gets "[::1]" or IPv6 address without [ ].
It is quite hard to suspect, that (knowing that ::1 works and [::1] does not)
it works this way.
And by hard I mean >1h I spend by brute-forcing which of the lines causes
trouble.
