Hi, The log files that are attached indicate that the problem appears after you have run "apt purge python3.6-minimal". Therefore I don't think it is a bug in the python packages, because removing all Python interpreters from your installation is not expected.
You could try to find help for fixing your system using one of the methods listed there: https://community.ubuntu.com/t/community- support/709 Regards, Juhani Numminen ** Changed in: python3-defaults (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to python3-defaults in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1798411 Title: package python3 3.6.5-3ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: installed python3 package pre-removal script subprocess returned error exit status 127 Status in python3-defaults package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: package python3 3.6.5-3ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: installed python3 package pre-removal script subprocess returned error exit status 127 ProblemType: Package DistroRelease: Ubuntu 18.04 Package: python3 3.6.5-3ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.15.0-36.39-generic 4.15.18 Uname: Linux 4.15.0-36-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.20.9-0ubuntu7.4 Architecture: amd64 Date: Wed Oct 17 10:02:43 2018 ErrorMessage: installed python3 package pre-removal script subprocess returned error exit status 127 InstallationDate: Installed on 2018-02-17 (241 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS "Xenial Xerus" - Release amd64 (20170801) Python3Details: /usr/bin/python3.6, Python 3.6.6, python3-minimal, 3.6.5-3ubuntu1 PythonDetails: /usr/bin/python2.7, Python 2.7.15rc1, python-minimal, 2.7.15~rc1-1 RelatedPackageVersions: dpkg 1.19.0.5ubuntu2 apt 1.6.3ubuntu0.1 SourcePackage: python3-defaults Title: package python3 3.6.5-3ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: installed python3 package pre-removal script subprocess returned error exit status 127 UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to bionic on 2018-04-24 (175 days ago) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/python3-defaults/+bug/1798411/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
