Public bug reported: Currently the keyboard reports its input area to Mir via the UbuntuApplicationAPIWrapper class within the keyboard plugin. To allow for third party keyboards this should be moved into a new maliit- framework backend and make use of the geometry information already provided to maliit by the keyboard.
