Public bug reported:

Hello!

I've replaced CPU from i5-8600K to i5-9600K and found that compiz
consuming circa 200% CPU all the time. I've searched X.org log and from
what I see there are no hardware acceleration in my system:

[ 8.308] (II) intel(0): SNA compiled: xserver-xorg-video-intel-hwe-16.04

# lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu 16.04.6 LTS
Release: 16.04

I've tried to load i195 with i915.alpha_support=1 but it didn't helps.
Display performance is very poor, sometime even mice pointer moves with lags
especially when browser-based applications like Skype or Slack are active.

# apt show xserver-xorg-video-intel-hwe-16.04
Package: xserver-xorg-video-intel-hwe-16.04
Version: 2:2.99.917+git20171229-1~16.04.1

My previous CPU had UHD630 as well so I guess that intel driver just
need some hint to understand that it is still the same hardware with
minor changes in naming or so.

Thank you.
