[Conexant CX20582 (Pebble)] Recording problem: input level is always
0, unless option is passed to module
Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
I can go to Sound Preferences, select Analog Stereo Duplex as
hardware, click on "Input", change the input volume, mute it, un-mute
it... everything works fine. However, if I tap against the mike, the
input level bit doesn't move at all. Needless to say, no application
can record anything.
This is NOT the mute/unmute problem with Mike I've been seeing around.
There is a fix.
I ran:
cat /proc/asound/card0/codec#* | grep Codec
I looked into HD-Audio-Models.txt.gz and found:

After that, the internal mike works and I can finally talk to my
friends while I stay in Thailand!
So, this option (if it's the right one, I sort of guessed) should be
there by default.

for fixing it "for real"!
