  [IDT 92HD75B2X5] ALSA sound stops working after a while, fixes with
  reboot

Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  After booting up, sounds works fine, but after some period of time,
  eventually becomes silent.  A reboot fixes sound ouput, but not sure
  how to figure out what is breaking, or how to fix it.
