Title:
Intel 5 series/3400 sound broken by upgrade to 10.10
Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Sounds was working fine in 10.04. Upgrade to 10.10 broke sound
(amongst other things). Installed all updates as of today and still
no joy (13/Nov/2010). Have now tried running from Live CD and sound
also doesn't work. Sound properties in gnome show no sound cards, as
does the "System Testing" application. dmesg shows no sign of trying
to load sound.
