Context:
I am currently trying to report a bug in Maverick RC released in
2010-10-01, which does not boot on my IBM x3650 M2 servers. I was not able to
find a "submit new bug" on ubuntu's website, and the documentation for
reporting a new bug tells me to use Apport.
Problem:
I was not able to submit my bug using Apport.
How to reproduce:
press alt+f2, run ubuntu-bug without arguments, click on "other problem"
and hit "ok". A message "You need to specify a package or a PID" pops up.
Apport allows no further action after that.
Other thoughts:
I do think Apport is the wrong way to report my bug, since it concerns
another distro and is pre-boot, but the documentation does not point in any
other direction. If there is another way, maybe a bug report against the
documentation is necessary.
