Title:
No Input Sound On XPsound XP203 USB External Sound Card In Ubuntu
  10.04

Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
Please check the following Ubuntu forum link further info
  http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=10620978#post10620978 . To
fix the fault run alsamixer via the terminal & changed the PCM capture
source from Mic to Line (See attached screen shot). A bit strange
because you can make the same change in Sound Preferences / Input tab
& the fault persists. If the PCM capture source by default was set to
Line in alsamixer this would probably fix the fault permanently.
