snd_hda_intel broken under Macbook 5.5
Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
Binary package hint: alsa-base
The latest macbooks using Intel/Nvidia HD sound will not work with
this driver version 1.0.20 for 'snd_hda_intel'.
The drivers will load and the mods will be recognized but there will
be no sound.
The latest macbooks need the alsa-driver version 1.0.21 installed to
have sound working. This is even documented on Ubuntu's own Wiki.
I hope the Ubuntu team will update Karmic to the alsa-driver version
of 1.0.21 before Karmic goes final.
