  [Macmini1,1, SigmaTel STAC9221 A1, White Headphone Out, Rear] Clipping
  on left headphone channel and internal speaker

Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  After every boot there is distinct clipping/distortion on the left
  headphone channel. If nothing is plugged into the headphone socket,
  there is clipping/distortion on the internal speaker. The problem goes
  away if the machine is rebooted, possibly several times in a row.
