I rebooted shortly after this update and it seems to have broken our IPv4
firewalls. The IPv6 tunnel through sixxs.net still seems to work.
Connectivity for the fiewall itself was fine, but most everything on the LAN
ground to a halt.

One machine is Ubuntu 14.04 64 bit with ufw and the other is Ubuntu 14.04 32
bit using shorewall. I downgraded the libglib2.0-0_2.40.0-2_i386.deb and
libglib2.0-data_2.40.0-2_all.deb on the 32 bit machine and reconfigured dhcpd
to change the gateway and we are back on the net. I'll try some other tests
on the 64 bit machine later or tonight, or more likely tomorrow.

I should note that it is possible some other odd networking issue from
our local cable company is causing this, but if it is the library, it is
going to be ugly for a lot of people using Ubuntu firewalls if this
isn't fixed soon.

  [ QA ]

Under the terms of the MRE, you can assume the bugs are fixed. I
suggest installing the update and then using your system as normal for
  the 10 day verification time.

  [ Regression potential ]

One of the fixes could be bad. This is the first stable in this series
and is a new release, so hasn't had much testing on its own, even if
all of the fixes are in the unstable release.
