Title:
need support for combo audio port on macbooks
Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Macbooks have a single audio port that can function as a headphone or
microphone port depending on user setting. This can be controlled in
Mac OS X's sound preferences.

pref-1.jpg
Currently, Ubuntu only seems to be able to use the port as output, and
there is no place I can see to change this. Neither gnome-volume-
control and alsamixer seem to be able to control this feature.
