Title:
No audio from on-board speakers on Latitude E6520

Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
I have a Dell Latitude E6520, which ships with 10.10 installed. I can
get audio from headphones plugged into the speaker jack, but not from
  the on-board speakers.

  I followed the suggestions on
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingSoundProblems with no luck until I
came to the bit that says "report a bug". Here it is.

  Any help gratefully received.
