Title:
[Aspire 4810T, Realtek ALC269, Mic, Internal] Background noise
Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
I have a problem with loud backgroud noise in Ubuntu using the internal mic
(Sound Recorder, Skype, Audacity, etc.)
This problem is not hardware related, since if I start Windows 7 64bit on the
same machine the audio (including the mic) is perfect.
I guess that this bug might be related to pulseaudio.
I did another test on Ubuntu Natty by forcing skype to start with
following command in the Application Menu (thus bypassing pulse, I
guess) and the mic input is clear and without noise in that case:
bin/sh -c "PULSE_SERVER=127.0.0.1 skype" &
