Title:
Noise when recording with internal microphone on SONY VAIO

Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
When using the internal microphone on my SONY VAIO laptop running
Ubuntu Natty I get a loud noise. Adding "options snd-hda-intel
position_fix=2" to the file /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf solves the
problem. However it would be nice if the mic worked with the default
  settings.
