Title:
Output connector doesn't switch automatically from Analog Headphones
to Analog Speakers when headphones are unplugged... or vice versa on
  Natty Narwhal

Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: alsa-base
  Similar to Bug #605861

This happens on a Acer with a freshly installed and mostly up-to-date
  Natty Narwhal

  1. Play a sound. It comes from the built-in speakers
  2. Plug an headphone.
  3. The sound can be hear in the headphone *AND* in the speakers. (it should
be the speakers only)

  4. open sound preferences > output
  5. Change the "connector" from Analog speakers to Analog output.
  6. Headphones work well but speakers are now disabled, even if the headphones
are unplugged.
