Title:
HP EliteBook 8530p HDA-Intel: build-in mcrophone doesn't work
Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Hello,
Built-in microphone on HP EliteBook 8530p laptop is available but doesn't
work (no sound). In the alsa.conf I have a line:
options snd-hda-intel model=laptop
If I switch the option to 'mobile', the build-in microphone works, but the
external microphone input doesn't.
I noticed, that for the 'laptop' option with hda-analyzer I can enable the
built-in microphone selecting 0x0C node, pin 0x15. However, the microphone
input is very loud and because of that noisy.
I understand, it's matter of the proper fixed configuration in the
snd-hda-intel driver. I'm not a total beginner on linux, so if
somebody could guide me, I believe we could work out the proper
configuration for the HP EliteBook 8530p setup.
Regards,
Adrian
