Title:
[, Realtek ALC662 rev1, Green Line Out, Rear] Underruns, dropouts or
  crackling sound

Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
Sound crackles and breaks up when playing videos.
I did find a fix for this problem a few months ago by researching it on the
web. However an auto upgrade of the O/S wiped out the change I made and I can
no longer find the discussion thread that gave me the fix (and the problem
returned). As bes as I recall the fix was to edit a file under /etc (can't
remember which) and change 1 line, replacing some word with the word 'default'.
After rebooting that change removed the crackles that I was hearing.
This time around I find several references to changing /etc/pulse/default.pa
and adding tsched=0 to the line: load-module module-udev-detect. That does
not work for me.
  Thanks in advance.
