When I wake the notebook using the power button on the docking station (the lid is still closed) everything then works correctly. It does not matter if the power supply is connected or not. The problem shows up in over 95% of cases. (At least once the notebook booted normally.) The Ubuntu was originally installed in version 19.10 then upgraded to 20.04. The problem was present in the version 19.10 already. No power management or booting changes done outside of the standard GUI configuration tools.
