Jamie: after installing some other things on the server, the problem no longer exists, so I can't answer the question, unfortunately, nor can I reproduce this issue. I would say that other ufw commands were not running because UFW was called via Ansible, but it is not impossible. Terminating the script did not fix the issue.

Interrupting it with Ctrl+C yields this backtrace: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/sbin/ufw", line 130, in <module> lock = create_lock(lockfile=lockfile, dryrun=pr.dryrun) File "/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/ufw/util.py", line 1112, in create_lock fcntl.lockf(lock, fcntl.LOCK_EX) KeyboardInterrupt The line numbers are always the same. The platform is Ubuntu Server 20.04 (Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS), from the Amazon image. I have not seen this bug on other servers. UFW is version 0.36.
