I'm closing this issue earlier than normal as I'm moving away from
reviewing bug reports that have received little or no attention in
recent times and there have been no comments to suggest that the
reported problem is still an issue when using a currently supported
release of Ubuntu.
Please feel to revert the status of this bug report to a previous status
if this is still an issue while using a currently supported release of
Ubuntu.

Title:
Mouse becomes erratiic after a while
Status in xorg package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
Standard external usb mouse, after the system has been up for a variable
time, sometimes a few hours sometimes 2 days the mouse does not properly move
around the screen and it also does not properly respond to right and left
click, it will take many attempts before the button presses are recognised.
A reboot does fix it, but it should not need rebooting so often.
xorg was used because it seems to be the xorg mouse drivers that are
in use.
